A Little of this & that

My poor blog has been so neglected these days.  We only have a week until School starts back up for Jonathan.  I can’t believe he is starting the 4th Grade!!  Last week I took him to get his Sports/School Physical and he is now 5 FEET Tall & Weighs 120lbs!  My Dad weighed 125lbs the day he graduated HS!  My boy is growing, & I do believe that one day he will surpass his own Dad.  We have spent the last couple of weeks back to this…

Fall Soccer has arrived & so has Jonathan’s Daddy.  Jonathan can not be more happy with the return of his Dad from his 3rd deployment overseas!

This pregnancy has been very difficult for me, even more so than when I was pregnant with Jonathan & I’m sure it’s because I have suffered such issues with my health.  I have been doing much needed reading from my favorite book lately.

I’m sure that they have updated this, but this was my MOPS Bible from years ago when I was a MOPS Mommy!  Guess What???  I’m going to be one again, in just 2 more weeks!!  Most of my closest friends, spread far & wide were met thru one or another MOPS Group!  I love this Organization, more so than any other!!  I’m also involved now in PWOC & another Mom’s Group created by a lovely friend of mine ~ Mothers to Mothers ~.  My schedule is filling quickly with fun activities now that I’m no longer working.

And if it weren’t for a very special someone….

My Love & Encouragement tank would be empty!  But,
Sean is truly my saving Grace & I’m so thankful he is here & prodding me along!  Only 4 months to go & what better way to a Women’s heart than with Flowers & Fresh French Bread! ;)

Precious Miracles

Yesterday I had a baby shower to go to at 2:00 o’clock & when I left my house @ 1:30 my girlfriend called to tell me she wouldn’t be at her shower because they induced labor about a 1/2 hour ago.  This was unexpected because she is not due for another 4 weeks and her husband is currently serving right smack dab in the middle of a Village in Afghanistan right now.  She sounded slightly frantic so I asked if she would like for me to come sit with her until her Mom arrived.  She said yes, so away I went.

IMG_1707

Holanda was having what I thought to be Mild Contractions when I got there because she was conversing on the telephonO when I arrived ;)  I sat with her for just over an hour as her contractions didn’t change much and she was dilated to 4 Centimeters.  The Doctor came in and broke her water shortly after & her contractions appeared to become much more strong for she appeared to be in A lot of pain.  After about 10 painful Contractions she told me to tell the Nurse she was ready for her Epidural.  I tried to convince her she should at least try to hold out until 6 Centimeters, but she gave me a “Look”.  So I must admit, I kind of reluctantly went out and told the Nurse that my friend was ready for her Epidural and thought to myself what a Wimp!  When the Anesthesiologist arrived, I thought it would be a perfect time for me to run down to the Cafeteria to crab a small bite to eat to bring back up with me to the room.

When I returned LESS than 20 minutes later, there was a BABY Latched on
& Nursing from my Friend!!!!

What the Heck????

A Beautiful Baby Girl Arrived while I was making a salad and getting a side of fried Okra!!  I doubt my friend will call me again if she goes into labor ;)  Luckily Her Mama was there with her!

Welcome Baby Mila!!!

Part: 3, The End…..

Since being pregnant, I constantly fall asleep anywhere all of the time & have had to pull over off the side of the rode driving alone and take a nap, it really is quite ridiculous!  Vacation was no different!  Toward the end of the week, Sweet Amy offered us to come down and stay at her Parents home in Newport Beach where they live, Dave & Laura were off on Vacation in Montana.  So, she gave us the keys and we went down early and waited for her, Kirt, & Baby Grant to arrive.  I enjoyed the beautiful view off the deck with my eyes closed.

That evening the Men went to the Market to get the fixings for dinner & Grilled us some Delicious Steaks, Fresh Green Beans with Bacon, Corn on the Cob, a Salad, and some oh so yummy Bread.  It was SO Good!!  Thank You Kirt & Sean!  Not too mention Amy made me a Fresh Fruit Smoothie!

And After Dinner, I loved on Grant Some More!!

I bet he is so relieved that I’m gone and not sniffing his head and smooching his adorable cheeks every 2 minutes!

After staying the night at the Beach, we headed back down to Corona to pick up my Dad & Sue & we all took a day trip to Knotts Berry Farm!

IMG_1565 But 1st, we had to stop and have lunch at the Chicken Dinner Restaurant Famous to Knotts!

IMG_1568

J ate so much Chicken, Biscuits, and Tators that I think he is storing some in those squirrely cheeks of his ;)

IMG_1571

Aren’t we quite the Bunch??  ;)

IMG_1583

We got thru the Gates, and Away Jonathan Went!!

The Following Evening we were off to Celebrate Nana’s 96th at the Crab Cooker with much of the Family!

IMG_1695 IMG_1696

Once again, Cousin Chad did most of the entertaining.  He taught Jonathan how to pick up girls by flexing your Biceps!!  Chad has an amazing gift with Children, he really should consider changing professions!!

IMG_1697

Ms. Santina wasn’t going for it!

IMG_1703

But, J was “ooggllllyyyyy eyed” over her!!!  The entire night, next day, and flight home I had to hear about how pretty Ms. Santina is/was “HUHHHHHHHHHHH MOM”!!!! ;)  The boy is not nearly 10 Yet!!!   She was quite a Sweetie, & she survived my 20 questions so I say Chad can keep her!

IMG_1699

Somehow my Uncle Marks shiny head is the focal point of this photo, but it’s s’pose to be of Nana blowing out her candle!

IMG_1704

And I asked Sean to take a photo of me with my favorite Adorable Cousin Timmy along with the Enormous Beautiful Bouquet of Flowers he brought me & this is what Sean Took!!!  That

STINKER!!!! ;)

So, there it is in a nutshell……Congratulations to Dad & Sue, Happiest of Happy Birthdays to my Nana, and of course a huge Warm Welcome to Baby Grant whose Parents Deserved a Precious Gift after all they have been thru!!!  We had a great trip just relaxing, & visiting Our family & friends!

CA Vacation Part: 1

We just returned home from our 10 day vacation visiting family and friends in my hometown in Southern CA.  We had a Great trip, very relaxing, and just the perfect dosage of refreshing!   Vacation is always so needed, but I certainly Love returning home, sleeping in my own comfy bed, and getting back to our routines!

IMG_1361

It’s tradition for my Dad to Greet us at the bottom of the Escalators at the Airport, but our flight arrived 30 minutes early, so Jonathan was able to sneak up on his Papa as he walked in and quickly checked the flight times.

IMG_1362

As you can see, J was pretty amused with himself that he scared his Papa with a flick to the ear!

IMG_1367

After arriving, we had to be at my Dad’s house for their Wedding Rehearsal.  Aunt Diane & I even behaved ourselves! ;)

IMG_1386

Baby Brody entertained us with his Baby Boy Push Ups!

IMG_1400

My Dad & Sue have a Beautiful Backyard that has hosted Many Weddings, so it wasn’t a Surprise that they hosted their own Wedding in this Beautiful Location as well.  My Aunt Diane was the “Best Man” & my Sisters & I walked down for my Dad & Sue’s Girls for her.

IMG_1409

My Son Jonathan was a Ring Bearer along with my Nephew Jacob.  Sue’s daughter Andi’s husband Dusty married the two of them.  He has known the two of them for quite some time, so he was able to make it a very personal ceremony.

IMG_1433

They are quite Happy Together!

IMG_1436

But, I think I’m still his Favorite ;)

IMG_1453

And I s’pose he likes his other daughters too ;)

IMG_1443

And I guess he is probably fond of his New Beautiful Bride and her Daughters Donna & Andi ;)

IMG_1471

But, we know one things for certain…..He Loves His 96 year Old Mama!  My Nana & Dad dancing after we sang Happy Birthday to her!

IMG_1507

You know my Dad is Happy if he is “Cuttin a Rug”!  Congratulations Dad & Sue, may you 2 be just as Happy as ya’ll have been over the last 16 yrs!

This was day 1 of vacation, many more parts to come!
