I LOVE the Sunshine, hate that it rarely appears here in the Pacific Northwest. The Sun was desperately trying to break thru the cloud coverage today. I' am in DESPERATE NEED of some Vitamin D. So, even though it was Cold out today, after Church, I was bound and determined to get me some D…….
I sat out there glued to the Kindle in an attempt to finish my book. It’s so darn Good & I mentioned how there was a character in the book that reminds me of my Nana & now there is a character mentioned with my Maiden last name!! Yeap, that’s right, “Barbers” are famous!
Am I not a sight?? Do you notice how short our fences are? Can you imagine what the neighbors think of me?? ;)
I think that small patch of my forehead got some sun exposure!
My husbands swears that I have a type A personality, I argue that I am far from it. I’m not sure an identified type has been named for what I am. I procrastinate until the last possible moment, than desperately strive for perfection. I work better under pressure and with a deadline & if those are not the circumstances, I get bored and really “ITCHY” ! I wonder why that is? Is it genetics? I don’t think either of my parents are that way, but it’s been 13 plus years since I lived with my Dad & all I took note of while I lived there was why “someone” ate all my ice cream & why hadn’t anyone bought more! It’s amazing how our Worries change in life!
Right now I’m taking this great Women’s Bible study at my Church and the book were doing for the 1st 6 weeks of this segment is ME, MYSELF, & LIES by Jennifer Rothschild. Have you ever heard of her? Wow, what an amazing story she has. This is a Great book, so much insight to our inner thoughts. Class is on Wednesday Nights. What time did Katie do her homework for her 7 o’clock class……4:30 today! I have had all week to do my homework & I’m completely interested in the book, so why did I wait until today??
I am also borrowing my husbands Kindle & reading “The Sweet By and By” by Todd Johnson~I’m LOVING this book. Another book about Women, Friendships, and the Good Ol South! I swear that I was geographically misplaced! I was meant to be a Southerner! One of the characters has captured my heart with her Wit & Charm.
I finally just picked up the Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs. I’ve been wanting to read this for some time, they finally had it back at Costco yesterday.
I brought work home last night to do today while I was off. I went and had my hair done instead, which hopefully my Boss understands as a Crisis, for it truly is! In the last couple of months, my hips have decided to do some serious spreading and my hair has done an obnoxious job of thinning!!! Seriously Lord, Can we put any more emphasis on the thighs by loosing the focal point of my pretty locks?
Okay, I have 24 minutes to clean up the house, feed the boy, & leave for church….on your marks….get set….GO! ;)
But by the Grace of God I AM what I AM, and his Grace to me was not without effect~

It’s Soccer Season again. J is #44 & is playing way up in the age bracket with the 11 & 12 yr olds. You can’t tell that he is the only 9 yr old out there, only a few of players taller than him.
I didn’t get any good shots b/c I’m the obnoxious Mom that screams up and down the sidelines…… J has a natural talent when he doesn’t get bored with the sport~I have a feeling this is the year that he will really come into his own. Poor Sean, the coach didn’t start Jonathan and I was so ticked off. I didn’t sit quietly about it either!
J man might be the youngest player on the team, but he is one of the best & he played the rest of the game at Midfield and Defender! I played him up in age so I wouldn’t have to hear any gasping Mom’s as J slide tackled there children & I missed a perfect shot of J slide tackling the star of the other team. It was AWESOME & clean, J hooked his back foot and took him down just feet from the goal ~ oh how this Mama beamed! ;)

I planted these bulbs the year before last & have patiently been waiting for them to bloom this Spring. Tulips are my Favorite Flower next to Gerber Daisies~I just love them so much.
This is my all time Fav! I bought a Mini Rose Plant today that matches~Sunrise Roses that I hope to get planted tomorrow.
Our Japanese Cherry Blossom that we planted last year is in Full Bloom!!!!! I thought it wasn’t going to make it. I’m so thankful for Sean, for he planted all the plants we had bought last summer & planted them before I got home from work one day & I came home and wanted most of them moved. He replanted them for me!! He says “a Happy Wife is a Happy Life” ;)

Just an update that I am home from my short hospital stay of 3 days, please keep my health in your prayers!!

You know that one friend that you have, that knows EVERYTHING there is to know about you? All the Good, along with the Bad that they never judge you on because they Love you Unconditionally ~ The one that can sense something is wrong, even if they are hundreds of miles away ~ You know the kind I’m talking about ~ My oldest, longest, & dearest friend Amy gave birth to a Beautiful HEALTHY Baby Boy on Sunday near her home in CA.
I haven’t had a chance to meet Grant David, but from what I can see, he is simply Precious & a True Miracle to his parents! There truly is no greater joy on earth in my opinion, than that of Motherhood. Congratulations my Dear Friend!
I can’t wait to meet him, I pray to be there soon!!
We have had to get creative with Indoor Fun during our Rainy Spring Break. Today we headed to the Painted Plate in Downtown Olympia.
Finally, J has taken off those 3D Lens less Glasses!
This place was so neat with an overabundance of pieces to choose from. We both went for bowls, we love us a good bowl.
Not such a great photo for what we actually created on our bowls, but we will have to show our debut when we can pick them up in 5 days!
After lunch we headed to Barnes & Noble for Spring Break Reading Material, a hair cut for a Squirrel, a trip to Trader Joes,

when we returned home J Man wanted to bake an Apple Pie by Himself & boy did he! He sure loves to watch the Food Network, Cook, & like his Mama ~ EAT!!!

He hasn’t taken these off since he got them yesterday at the 3D “How to Train Your Dragon” Movie that we saw yesterday with 3 other kiddos! I must add in here that I was responsible for a 3 yr old, 5 yr old, 7 yr old, & my 9 yr old & No One Cried, Choked, or Wet their Pants ;)
I did Good, I SHOULD have been BLESSED with MORE children!! Ahemmmmmmmmm
So, it’s Spring Break in our Neck of the woods.
Monday started off to a bad start & I was sick in Bed!
Then, friends of ours came over & we had lunch & baked cookies, thanks to Rose Marie I now know how to use that expensive counter accessory that I threw such a fit over having that hadn’t been used (remember the Yellow Kitchen Aide)
Tuesday, Sean came home and took me to the doctors, then we went & saw the Movie with friends, lunch, Soccer Practice, dinner @ Costco.
Wednesday: Were off to Barnes & Noble, Pottery Making, then Trader Joes!
Tomorrow…a trip to the City.
This is the 1st time EVER that I have been off for Buddy Holly’s Spring Break & he’s quite entertaining!
