Hawaii

Our room has an OUTDOOR shower!!! It's simply AMAZING..........
Our on private porch.........

Our room at the Ho'oilo House Bed and Breakfast on Maui. Ho'oilo means Winter in Hawaiin. The rooms are great here and there is the most beautiful view overlooking the Ocean.
The first day we arrived to Maui from Oahu we asked the Innkeeper at our Bed and Breakfast to recommend a good place for lunch. She quickly suggested Mala, a Restaurant in a small town called Lahiana that's right on the beach. Great recommendation and our waiter there gave us all the inside scoop on what to do as a local, not a tourist. Thank you Mr. Waitor!!
We saw another table eating this, thought it was guacamole, definitely not!!! But, whatever it was, it certainly was tasty and some how it vanished quickly from our table!! I believe it was some sort of smashed pea or bean of some sort with salsa around it. I added a bit of Tabasco and Salt for an extra kick. If you know what this is, enlighten me!

I took this photo of Sean at our table to remember just how "on the water" we really were. A few times that the waves came, it splashed us and our lunch. It was rather refreshing! Sean said that his burger was the best burger he had ever had.

This is Sean snorkeling in Hanauma Bay in Oahu. I'm taking the photo because I was not feeling well at all and I was not wanting to risk being eaten by a Shark!!! Yes, there are Sharks and Jelly Fish in the Ocean!!!!! I've watched many episodes of Animal Planet with Jonathan! And, I'm sure your saying....."oh gosh Katie, like your luck is bad enough to be eaten by a Shark on your honeymoon" Well, it's bad enough to get Kidney Stones on my Honeymoon!!! Humphhhhh, I'm still brooding over this ;)
The lookout over the blowhole on OahuRight past the Blowhole Lookout
On Oahu we stayed at the Hilton Hawaiin Village. Now, if you go to Oahu (Maui is much better in my opinion) and your not military, than yes, stay at the Hilton. But, if your Military or a DOD Civilain, stay at the Hale Koa that is right next door to the Hilton. JUST AS NICE, and HALF THE PRICE!! Plus, it's $36 dollars a day to park at the Hilton and at the Hale Koa it's $8 bucks a day!! Hale Koa has a mini PX too inside where you can stock up on snacks and water!

View from our room

Beautiful Hibiscus Flower, I'm considering tattoing this on the top of my foot before we leave ;)

Took this photo for my Dad so that he can put a Bamboo Top like this one on the Catfish Flyer!!!
