Colonel Hayes & newly promoted MSG Lorenzo Gibbs on a Black Hawk Flight around Fort Lewis, Washington yesterday as Gibbs was promoted from SFC to MSG!! Gibbs and Sean were stationed together in Alaska and were deployed together in Rawah, Iraq for 15 months. Gibbs was Sean's Platoon Sgt during their deployment and a one of a kind Battle Buddy! Gibbs is here TDY for the summer from Virginia to train ROTC cadets and asked Sean to go along on this ride and assist in pinning on his new rank. Sean of course was honored to do so!!!

The Black Hawk picked them up on a training site on the Eastern side of Fort Lewis.
Congratulations MSG Gibbs, a promotion well deserved. Gibbs will be restationed to Fort Wainwright, Alaska shortly to become a 1SG.
